Greetings! I wanted to inform you that I will not be updating this website frequently anymore since I have moved to the private sector. Though I still have a great interest in systems and control, my research will mainly be concentrated on my current job. Nevertheless, I am available for collaboration on the topics listed below, as long as they are not related to my primary occupation. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any suggestions!

About and research interests

I am passionate about research and development in high-tech systems problems, where my education and experience allow me to propose innovative and practical solutions, as well as in related engineering science education. My background in mechatronics gives me the opportunity of interacting with interdisciplinary teams. I have scientific and engineering experience in systems and control methods for robotic systems, high-precision mechatronic systems, and wind turbine control. My research interests are the theory, engineering, and technology of nonlinear systems and control design, energy-based physical modeling for control, and data & learning-based control. Specifically:

  • Lyapunov, incremental and passivity techniques for control of nonlinear control systems

  • Lagrangian and port-Hamiltonian methods for modeling and control of physical and networked control systems

  • Data and learning-based control: Neural control, neural contraction metrics

  • Robotics and mechatronics: dynamics and control of rigid and soft robots, and of high-precision mechatronic systems,

  • Applications: opto-mechatronics, biomedical engineering, wind energy systems, smart industry
